So a while ago I made this thing with Chinese Zodiac:

...and then some things came up. Basically it turned out that some animals got replaced in different areas. It seems that Water Buffalo stands for Ox and Cat - for Rabbit in Vietnam; Goat sometimes stands for Sheep (or Ram); Boar (which is more common for Japan while the Chinese use Pig) is replaced with Elephant in Thailand. Also it is not commonly known that there is a case of Snail replacing Dragon in some parts of Russia.
